StoryDrive Asia 2017

I appreciate Jerry Hinds to introduce this conference.

StoryDrive Asia 2017 was a two-day conference from 13 to 14 November 2017.

During the first day, the staff asked me to pitch my story idea if I have any. Thus, I registered for the pitching on 14th November that was held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On the 13th November, I began to learn to prepare for the book pitching session and to understand my rights as the book’s author. At home, I took my pitching story by removing the unneeded pitching format section of the story. However, I still bring the character profile but not the animation and comic script format.

On the 14th November, I also learnt about the publishing industry and also many different formats of story distribution channel. As I record their information, it sets me into a lot of thinking and reflection mode. Then it was pitching time! There were publishing, film and app industries to pitch. Thus, I pitched for the publishing industries about my educational story. When one of the publishers listened to my pitching, she asked me whether turtles have teeth. That really intrigued me to do research. Today, I do research about it and find interesting and amazing facts about turtles. The session ended where the delegates were grouped together to discuss certain issues and find solutions.

In conclusion, the whole experience is an enjoyable learning process. Many information to process and digest.
